The Texas Department of Family Protective Services (TDFPS) [formerly known as Child Protective Services (CPS)] is responsible for the protection of children, adults, and people with disabilities. Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) contracts with the department to provide loving foster and adoptive homes. We work in partnership with them in many ways including licensing homes to foster or adoptive children in their care. We also provide the assessment and supervision services needed for fostering connections/kinship care, foster-to-adopt and adoptive families. Find out more information about TDFPS at their website.
