Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) recognizes that adoption is a lifelong process, and we are committed to meet your needs as time goes on. Some of the post-adoption services offered by PCHAS include:
- Searches and reunions
- Background information requests
- Seeking updated information from other members of the adoption triad
- Mediating semi-open adoptions through the exchange of pictures and letters
PCHAS is also committed to helping adoptees understand their adoption, so we provide counseling or referral services to former clients. We are required to keep adoption records in our archives for an extended period of time, and we will assist you in finding the information that you seek. All adoptions are also registered with the Texas Adoption Registry as required by the Family Code.
PCHAS offers post-adoption services to our clients in our adoption programs. This includes clients who worked with Homes of St. Mark. Homes of St. Mark merged with PCHAS in 2010, and services have continued for those adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents who worked with us prior to the merger. If you have any questions as to whether we can help you with post-adoption services, please contact an adoption specialist in your area.
